The Bodyweight Arsenal
Never underestimate the power of air squats, push-ups, burpees, lunges, and planks. These movements build strength, power, and conditioning when programmed correctly. The key is intensity and volume—make them hard enough to matter.
Sample Travel WOD #1: “Hotel Room Hell”
AMRAP 15 minutes:
- 10 Burpees
- 20 Air Squats
- 30 Sit-ups
- 40 Alternating Lunges
This one requires zero equipment and about 8×8 feet of space. It’ll get your heart rate up and leave you sweaty and satisfied. Scale the burpees to elevated push-ups on a bed or chair if needed.
Sample Travel WOD #2: “The Parking Lot Special”
5 Rounds for Time:
- 400m Run (or 2-minute jog)
- 15 Push-ups
- 25 Air Squats
Find a parking lot, a stretch of hallway, or even run in place. This workout challenges your conditioning while maintaining upper body and leg strength.
Consistency Over Perfection
Missing a week won’t destroy your gains, but missing a month will. Even 15-20 minutes of focused work keeps your engine running. It maintains the habit, the discipline, and the mindset that makes you who you are.
